Hello FUNDAHMER friends! We are excited to announce that once again FUNDAHMER will be selling Christmas cards prepared by the incredible and not to mention creative women of Sacacoyo. Known in Sacacoyo as the Women’s Committee “Laura Smith,” this dynamic group shares their life, light and JOY by creating beautiful cards using natural materials. The group also works together to produce candies, organic foods and artisanal products. In the hope of sharing the joy of these women, FUNDAHMER would like to offer this year two packages of original cards conveniently shipped to your house.
The proceeds go to support the communities of Mauricio Merino and Rutilio Grande in Sacacoyo. The cards are great for fundraisers, alternate giving campaigns or personal use. If you would like to make your order please contact us at email@example.com and we will be in touch about payment and shipping information. About the Women’s Committee “Laura Smith” in Sacacoyo:
We are a committee of 10 women from the Christian Base Community of P. Mauricio Merino in Sacacoyo. For the past year we have been organizing ourselves and learning to create and think as a group of women while intending to break the barriers that have kept us in marginalization for so long: literacy, shyness, discrimination and the lack of space that we have in which to enrich our abilities and skills in order to support our families and community. Little by little we are overcoming our fear, shyness and low self-esteem. Our ability to organize and believe in ourselves serves as inspiration for other women and our sons and daughters. Through the discovery of creativity and art we are rediscovering ourselves and learning to feel good about who we are as Salvadoran women. With your support we generate alternative modes of income that allow us to develop ourselves from within and to continue building a different image of THE SALVADORAN WOMAN.
