Production Initiatives

As a response to familial y community economic crises, women in Sacacoyo, Las Mesas, and Cacaopera formed creative proposals to alleviate the effects of poverty within their communities. The women in these communities joined together to form artisan collectives. Each collective specializes in specific ethno-cultural products manufactured from the local biodiversity. These collectives have furthered the empowerment of women in their respective communities and promote economic solidarity.
